We'll Miss You

We lost a special Lady and a original member of our Boreal Ultimate Music Society family on December 19th 2023. KAREN BISCARDI fought a tough Cancer fight before passing away on that Tuesday evening.  Karen is fondly remembered as always being the light in a room, always smiling, always welcoming and wanting you to feel comfortable in her space.  Most if not all musicians that ever performed at Amberlite Wilderness Resort will know Karen as the bubbly persona that would welcome them backstage and as green room hostess with the mostess making sure all of their musical and refreshment needs were met.  Karen made sure to let everyone know timelines to help make sure all 6 or 8 acts made their limelight spot. Karen was in the room in 2017 when our first discussions were happening regarding our very first AmberJam at Amberlite so her influence and support of our BUMS volunteer ideology was evident from the start. Karen also volunteered at the Summer in the Parking Lot series at the gate ticket entrance for the last two seasons whenever her health allowed her to feel good enough to help. 

 

We'll Miss You Karen.  May you become the Green Room hostess of all your favourite musicians  gone before you but waiting to meet and greet you in heaven's backstage Green Room!
